Wireless Reporting from 700 Meters

VERIGROUND SOIL MOISTURE SENSORS NOW IN CÔTE D'IVOIRE AND GHANA

Veriground stations support devices that can report weather and other data to a station for forwarding to Veriground servers and on to clients. The devices connect wirelessly to the stations. The first device that Veriground has created is a soil moisture sensor. Soil moisture sensors have been tested in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana where they have reported from distances up to 700 meters if the ground between is level and free of obstructions such as metal buildings. Where good sunlight or other power source is available and mobile service is good, one station can support several dozen wireless devices of many types.
